This is the mainframe computer that services Digibase Operations' network and runs most network services. This system is equipped with auxiliary processors (Application Processors — APs and Data Transaction Processors — DTPs) to permit its CPU to remain unburdened and able to service user and staff requests efficiently and quickly in addition to internal jobs it runs on a routine basis.
Public Services
- HTTP (Web Services) - offers various web services, including this knowledge base.
- DNS (Domain Name Services) - operates in hybrid authoritative/resolver mode
- NTP (Network Time Protocol) - operates as stratum 2, member of the pool.ntp.org time server pool
- IRC (Internet Relay Chat) - operates as a member of the UCSN collaborative IRC Network
- FTP (File Transfer Protocol) - for users to transfer files to and from the system
- MySQL (MySQL Database Services) - for storing data in, operates two instances, one at the CPU and one at the APM (Application Processor Module).
